UX Designer

Responsibility

Visual, UI, and workflow design of key features.

Our client came to us wanting to rebuild an Android application they had built to support dispatch center employees in Tanzania. The main purpose of the application was to allow dispatchers to efficiently pair up pregnant mothers with local healthcare facility or volunteer drivers so that the mothers could receive medical attention in a timely manner. Set on expanding their services to Lesotho, the current application just wasn't good enough.

My main role was to design the flow and UI for the payment processing and journey management features and also to design improvements to the triage flow. One of the main limitations was that network connectivity in Lesotho isn't stable. Dispatch centers would go without internet from days to weeks at a time. Our solution had to be built around this limitation.
